The Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty Fellowship Program at Prof. Mussa Wardak Hospital was established in 2010 with the goal of advancing orthopedic surgical training in Afghanistan, specifically in the fields of joint replacement and arthroscopic procedures.

The program is supervised by Prof. Emal Wardak, a leading figure in orthopedic surgery with decades of clinical and academic experience. Under his guidance, the fellowship has become one of the most respected orthopedic training programs in the region.

Currently hosting its third batch of fellows, the program offers intensive hands-on training in:

* Knee Arthroscopy includes meniscal repair, ligament reconstruction, and other advanced techniques

Our curriculum combines operative experience with academic discussions, case-based learning, and research opportunities. Fellows participate in full-spectrum orthopedic care, from pre-operative planning to post-operative management and long-term follow-up.

We take pride in our alumni, who have now become mentors and instructors in the same program. Among them are Dr. Haris Arif and Dr. Hamid Jamal, both of whom are actively involved in mentoring the current batch of fellows and contributing to the academic and surgical excellence of the hospital.

Prof. Mussa Wardak Hospital remains a national hub for high-standard orthopedic education, committed to shaping the future of arthroscopic and arthroplasty surgery in Afghanistan.
